About the Role
We are a custom manufacturer of cabinetry for both residential and commercial spaces looking for a part-time bookkeeper with Quickbooks expertise to support our company's financial operations.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and r
eporting
Is organized with a passion for numbers and financial management.
Has advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and its applications in managing financial data
Has a degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field. Relevant experience in accounting or finance or in a similar accounting role will also be considered.
Has the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a part-time work schedule (20 hours per week).
Has good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and external contacts.
Has demonstrated ability to handle confidential financial information with
utmost integrity.
Is resourceful and proactive in resolving financial discrepancies or issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Applicants will be required to perform many tasks. Including, but not limited to:
Handle day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Utilize your expertise in QuickBooks to efficiently manage the company's financial data, generate reports, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Prepare regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial health.
Monitor and record business expenses, ensuring proper categorization and documentation.
Create and manage client invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Assist in tax preparation and work collaboratively with the company's tax advisor to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws.
Maintain organized and updated financial files, both electronically and in physical form, to facilitate easy retrieval and reference.
Undertake light administrative duties as needed to support the smooth functioning of the office.
