About the Role
We are a custom manufacturer of cabinetry for both residential and commercial spaces looking to hire a highly organized and motivated individual to resume the role of a lead CAD Engineer to complete drawings for production.
An ideal candidate should have:
Proficiency in Microvellum and AutoCAD software.
Experience with CNC programming and operations.
Knowledge of cabinet construction and components
Experience working with Microvellum
Experience drafting Cabinetry or Millwork
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
You’re the quarterback for new projects making sure all team members have a clear idea of how to build and execute, and who takes a project from concept to smooth kickoff and production. Applicants will be required to perform many tasks. Including, but not limited to:
Design and Drafting:
Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Microvellum and AutoCAD software.
Develop nest drawings for CNC operations from approved shop drawings.
Optimize designs for production, ensuring efficient use of materials and machinery.
Engineering:
Generate drawings in Microvellum for production
Test the validity of millwork designs and make necessary adjustments.
Create programs for CNC machines, including single-part and nesting-based operations.
Project Management:
Purchase accurate job materials
Coordinate with other departments to ensure designs meet project specifications and deadlines.
Review and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
Communicate with team members to understand project needs and provide technical support.
